A special order by a bride to be.
She specified a silver colored clutch with the purple plum flower that she saw on a post, for her bridesmaids. And wanted one with a white flower for herself.
In order to make the bride’s clutch a little more unique, I replaced the pearl with a diamond-shaped crystal, adding a little bit of sparkle to it. She loved it =)

This bag is from my previous post Carnival Stripes Grocery Bag with additional appliqué done.
A request was made to have a name stitched at the bottom corner.
And in addition, the new owner of the bag, Marie, really liked the fabric with cats from Cat Carnival Small Bag. [She's a cat lover] So, I went and dug through my bag of left-over fabrics and found ONE piece with a full and intact image of the cat. *yay! * Did an appliqué of it on the bag and there u have it =)

This one is made specially for my mum =)
What she wanted was a sling bag that has a compartment for water bottle AND another for umbrella. Sounds all practical as that is what most people carry around in their bags on a daily basis. But, she has another explanation for it.
” Its for balance. “
And as such, you can see in the last picture showing the interior, there’s 2 cylindrical compartment specifically for… balance.
A friend of mine just got himself a brand new camera along with the casing. Unfortunately, the case didn’t fit the camera. It was too small. He turned to me and said:
” Sew me a camera bag! “
I was stumped becos a camera bag is nowhere close to anything that I’ve ever made before. Seemed a little intricate to do. Nonetheless, I took up the challenge and thought about its process whenever my mind went on idle mode.
What i came up with was a 4 layer thick camera bag, custom made to fit his camera.
1) outer fabric
2) flannel
3) eva foam
4) inner lining
Because of its thickness, I broke the sewing machine’s needle twice!! I constantly had to do minor size adjustments so that the layers fit each other. And also making sure that the camera fits snugly in it. But, its all worth it as I did finally come up with the final product. A little bit messy on the stitch lines but it will hold, and that’s the most important isn’t it?
Not too shabby after all =)
This piece was custom designed according to a special request.
My mum’s fren has a neighbor who’s going to leave singapore for good. He was interested in the clutch purse as a gift. And he came up with this very simple yet meaningful idea.
1) Our national flower being sewn on the bag.
2) Made by a singaporean.
