A clutch perfect for brides and bridesmaids and at the same time suitable for putting all the nitty-gritty stuff on a simple day out.

The flower bloom is handmade with subtle pink polyester fabric and sewn down with a large single pearl. Clutch is made with dark grey corduroy fabric for a comfortable hold.

Peachy Flower on Green Zipper Pouch

For a while now, I have successfully expanded the variety of metal teeth zipper supplies for sale on my craft materials website, SilvermintSupplies. Bringing in a consistent stream of new customers as well as retaining many regulars. I probably provide one of the largest collection of metal teeth zippers for sale on Etsy.

Strange enough though, I personally have not tried using the huge variety of metal teeth zippers I have readily on hand for my craft projects. I have always been using nylon zippers and been so used to it.

So  today, I finally decided to give it a go. I used a heavy duty fabric so that it could take the weight of the metal zipper. In doing so, the purse would be able to stand upright without flopping downwards like a wilted flower should a light fabric be used.  I also decided that it is about time that I learnt to create another variation of flower.  And so, I came up with a project to created this zipper pouch purse.

Final verdict, I would definitely have to agree with my customer’s comments that the zipper are of fantastic quality and add a touch of class to our creations.

An enchanting forest green background and a light peachy flower. As wonderful as nature would have it.

This zipper pouch was made using high quality gold metal teeth zipper. Dark green colored exterior fabric is heavy and durable. Decorated with a row of white floral trim and a light peachy fabric flower sewn down with a single yellow button on top.

Works great as a little hand clutch to bring along. Comfortably fits your mobile phone, some stationary and maybe some stash of cash and sweets.

The Complete Wedding Purse Set

I had a bride-to-be who loves polka-dots and she asked if I was able to include it in her wedding purse designs.  But, of course! I do always try my best to work towards getting what people want, especially for their big day. I had all the inner linings of her clutch purse orders in polka-dots.  We had great discussion on the colors combinations. What goes with whose dress, will this match that… It is no wonder as she is a graphic designer and definitely have an eye for the artistic.  And she ended up ordering what I call ‘the complete set’ for her wedding.  What does the ‘complete set’ comprises of? Well, here’s the list:

An earlier creation of blue stripes sling bag is no longer available for sale as I have ran out of the  fabric. It is also no longer on sale at the fabric store due to popular demand. Therefore, I created another sling bag with an alternative striped fabric with mainly navy and white, and some other mix of khaki, red and yellow. Its definitely a fresh addition to my collection.

Tri-Color Wedding Clutch Set

Its been a little hectic around with the June Wedding season almost here. And I was pleasantly surprised to have my first local sale of custom wedding clutch purses. The bride-to-be is based in US but her wedding will be held here on sunny Singapore shores.  She requested for 2 sets of purses. And my guess would be , one for her ‘sisters’ party and another is for her bridesmaids.

‘Sisters’ for weddings in Chinese culture typically consist of a group of close friends of the bride who will be around to help out to with reception, logistics, miscellaneous errands and of cause carrying out the most anticipated and eventful **Chinese Wedding Door Game. I will eloborate at the end of this post.

Bridesmaids on the other hand are usually the bride’s real sister or best friend who takes care of the bride’s needs and stays beside the bride.

And thus explains the 2 sets of different colored clutch purse for this custom request. Its been fun making these purses for the bride, her sisters and bridesmaids. And I hope they’ll love it too. Congratulations and here’s wishing you a blissful marriage!

**Chinese Wedding Door Game originated from ancient time which implies that the bride is a lovely girl and her family and friends do not want to marry her away.  The groom will be blocked at the bride’s door, and her friends will try to stop him from entering by asking questions about the bride, a way to test if he really cares about her.  They may also do other tricks to delay the bride’s leaving.  The groom will try to buy his way in by presenting token money wrapped in red envelops. The entire “bargain” process is joyous and good-natured.

Robot World – Short Sling Bag

It has been a while since I added to my collection of handmade bags. The idea for this bag has been in my mind for a long time and I’m so happy to have finally made it!

A cute and extremely functional bag to carry around.

It fits all the necessities on your day out. Wallet, purse, keys, mobile phone, ipod, water bottle, umbrella, letters, notebook, lip gloss, facial tissue…etc.

Assembled with mixed fabrics, the robot print is a Japanese cotton blend material which I have in small quantity. Enough to make only this bag. I paired it with neutral khaki fabrics for the sides. The sling strap is a cotton webbing decorated with a matching colored trim. Throughout the bag, radio frequency wave stitches have been used as extra details in making this bag a truly unique design.

This bag is one of a kind (OOAK). I will not be making another one with this design.

There is 1 pocket compartment on the inside.
